What I heard

“Four minors are trapped in a mine in Swansea following an accident.”

What I thought

“It’s their own fault for playing in an abandoned mine. What were those kids even doing there?”

What they actually said

“Four miners are trapped in a mine in Swansea following an accident.”

When the story came back up and I realised

“Ooooooh. MinERS, not MinORS. That makes more sense. Still, stupid youngsters. It’s only a matter of time until four minors do get trapped in a mine and then who’ll be laughing? Me.”

Such a beautiful way to look at life :D
